Donald Trump’s Powerful Message About Jesus Christ Has Americans Feeling Goosebumps (Video)

On Good Friday, President Donald Trump shared a message for Easter, focusing on Jesus and the meaning of his resurrection. In the video posted by the White House, Trump said, “He is risen,” and spoke about the pain and sacrifice Jesus went through on the cross. He said that through Jesus’ suffering, we see God’s endless love and deep care for all people. Trump also said that Jesus’ death and resurrection bring the gift of eternal life to anyone who believes.

He then turned to talk about faith in America. Trump said that the country is full of people who believe in God, and he added, “We need God. We want God. And with His help, we will make our nation stronger.” His message was meant to bring comfort to people during the Easter season, while also connecting it to his political message about faith and strength in the country.

Trump’s support from religious voters helped him a lot in the 2024 election. According to a study from Arizona Christian University, he got the majority of votes from Christian Americans. He won 56% of Christian voters compared to Kamala Harris, who got 43%. He did especially well with Protestants and Catholics, earning 60% of the Protestant vote and 51% of the Catholic vote. Among Evangelicals and Pentecostals, support was even stronger — with around two-thirds of Evangelicals and about three-quarters of Pentecostals choosing him.

Harris got more support from people who belong to other religious or spiritual groups. That includes Black Evangelicals, Jewish voters, and people who don’t follow any organized religion.

Many conservative Christians supported Trump because of the choices he made in office. His support for Israel and the judges he appointed to the Supreme Court — some of whom helped overturn the federal right to abortion — made him very popular with religious conservatives. These voters saw him as someone who protected their values.

But not everyone agreed with his approach. Some progressive Christians had a hard time accepting his strict immigration policies and his plans to reduce spending on programs that help the poor or support other countries in need. They felt those actions didn’t match the compassion and kindness taught by Jesus.

Harris also lost support from some people because of the Biden administration’s backing of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, especially after the conflict that began in October. Some Muslim voters and people who are strongly against war were disappointed and felt let down.

Trump’s Easter message wasn’t just about religion — it was also a way to connect his political actions with Christian beliefs, which continues to be a big part of how he talks to voters and shares his goals for the country..
