Russia carried out a large drone attack on Ukraine late Wednesday, hitting several cities and injuring at least 12 people, including a 12-year-old girl. The attack mainly targeted Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-biggest city, where explosions caused fires and damaged buildings. Emergency services rushed to the scene, with 117 workers involved in helping the injured and putting out the fires.
A video shared by emergency crews shows the moment one of the explosions happened, highlighting just how powerful and dangerous the strike was. The Ukrainian authorities said the attack caused panic and destruction in different parts of the city.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that other cities, including Sumy and Dnipro, were also attacked by Russian forces around the same time. He shared updates on social media, calling for more international support and urging the world not to look away.
These strikes come at a time when many European countries are calling for peace and trying to bring both sides to the negotiating table. Despite the push for a peaceful solution, Russia continues to launch aggressive attacks, causing more damage and suffering for ordinary people in Ukraine.
The situation remains tense, with fears that the war could get worse if no progress is made toward ending the conflict. In the meantime, Ukrainian rescue workers and emergency teams are working around the clock to help victims and repair the damage left behind.
