Former First Lady, former Secretary of State, and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton became visibly angry after learning that Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado had shared a photo of her during a private testimony about Jeffrey Epstein.

Clinton had appeared for a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee last Thursday. The session was meant to be private. However, during the hearing, it was discovered that a photo of Clinton while she was testifying had been posted on social media. The photo was reportedly sent to conservative influencer Benny Johnson.

Because the hearing rules clearly stated that no photos or recordings were allowed, the session was briefly paused. Clinton adviser Nick Merrill told reporters that the meeting went off the record once the photo appeared online. He explained that the committee stopped the hearing to investigate where the image came from and whether a member of Congress had broken the rules.

On Monday, the Oversight Committee released the full video of Clinton’s deposition. The footage included the tense moment when someone from Clinton’s team interrupted the hearing after discovering the photo had been posted.

A member of Clinton’s team asked whether it was allowed for photos to be shared while the secretary was testifying inside the private room. They pointed out that Clinton’s team had requested a public hearing, but instead she was testifying in a closed session. If photos were being shared publicly anyway, they questioned how that followed the rules.

At that point, Clinton lost patience. She expressed frustration and said she was done with the situation if members were breaking the rules. She even said they could hold her in contempt if they wanted, adding that this kind of behavior was typical. Her reaction showed how upset she was about what had happened.

When a committee member admitted that she had posted a photo, Clinton responded with clear anger and disbelief. Representative Lauren Boebert defended herself by saying the photo was taken before the hearing officially began. But Clinton rejected that explanation. She argued that everyone in the room was expected to follow the same rules, regardless of timing.

Boebert then said she would take the photo down. Clinton, however, appeared unimpressed. She agreed with a suggestion from her team to take a break and ended her participation for the moment, saying she was done for now.

The incident added more drama to what was already a sensitive hearing. The deposition focused on Clinton’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein, whose crimes and high-profile relationships have continued to attract public attention.

The moment quickly spread online after the committee released the full video. It sparked strong reactions from both supporters and critics. Some people defended Clinton, saying the rules of a closed-door hearing should be respected. Others argued that public figures should expect scrutiny during such high-profile investigations.
