Frustrated Labour Voter Praised for Confronting Yvette Cooper: ‘You Spoke for Millions!’ – ‘We’ve Lost Everything! Yvette Cooper Promises Are Just Lies!

During a weekend visit to her West Yorkshire constituency, Yvette Cooper, the Labour Home Secretary, faced an unexpected confrontation from a local resident. While handing out mince pies outside a Morrison’s supermarket, Cooper was approached by Amanda Jane Hunt, a long-time Labour supporter who didn’t hold back in expressing her frustration over broken promises, including the withdrawal of the winter fuel allowance.

Speaking to GB News after the incident, Amanda recounted her experience. She said, “I didn’t mean to record it. I thought I was taking a quick photo when I saw Yvette Cooper handing out mince pies. It was only later that I realized I’d accidentally recorded a video, which one of my kids uploaded to TikTok. Things just took off from there.”

Amanda criticized Cooper for what she called another “publicity stunt,” highlighting that the mince pies being distributed were donated by the supermarket, not purchased by the MP. She added, “It’s not about the pies—it’s about the broken promises. People here have had enough.”

Amanda, a resident of the area for years, shared her frustration with how her community has been neglected. “We used to have a hospital, swimming baths, and a sports center. They’re all gone now, and Yvette keeps making promises she never keeps. People around here feel abandoned,” she said.

She went on to criticize Labour’s handling of key issues, including the treatment of WASPI women and the withdrawal of benefits like the winter fuel allowance. Amanda explained, “It’s not just about money—it’s about the lies. Labour promised to stand by these women, to fight for them. Instead, they’re left out in the cold.”

The confrontation struck a chord with many viewers and social media users, with Amanda being hailed as a voice for the everyday voter. One GB News host commented, “You spoke for millions of people who feel let down by empty promises. You weren’t rude or aggressive, but you made your point clear.”

Amanda emphasized that she didn’t intend to attack Cooper personally. “I don’t believe in violence or aggression toward MPs,” she clarified. “But I do believe in holding them accountable.”

In the now-viral clip, Amanda was heard telling Cooper, “You should be handing out blankets to pensioners instead of mince pies!” Her remarks highlighted the struggles of many local residents, including a homeless man she regularly speaks with outside the supermarket. Amanda revealed, “He told me Yvette stood just two feet away from him and didn’t even offer him a pie. That says everything about her priorities.”

Amanda’s confrontation reflects growing discontent among traditional Labour voters, particularly in working-class communities. Critics have pointed out that Labour’s decisions, such as removing the requirement to prioritize British nationals for social housing and focusing on international aid, have alienated their core base.

When asked about Cooper’s likely response, Amanda was skeptical. “They’ll just say they inherited a ‘£22 billion black hole’ and expect us to feel sorry for them. But what about us? What about the people freezing in their homes?”
As the interview concluded, Amanda issued a heartfelt plea: “I’ve been Labour all my life, but this isn’t the party I grew up supporting. They need to stop with the excuses and start looking after the people who voted for them.”
