Big Trouble for Sadiq Khan as He Lands in a Major Scandal While Trying to Dodge Accountability
The London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, avoided directly answering whether he would allocate specific funding for police investigations into grooming gangs during a London Assembly meeting.
When asked to commit to funding, Khan emphasized the importance of focusing on the victims of child sexual exploitation.
Susan Hall, a former mayoral candidate, pressed Khan for a clear “yes or no” answer, accusing him of “running down the clock” to avoid addressing the issue. Khan responded by saying he was “surprised” Hall didn’t understand the operational independence of the police.
Susan Hall, who speaks on crime for City Hall Conservatives, criticized Khan for avoiding critical questions. She stated, “Sadiq has once again dodged important questions about issues that matter to Londoners. Starmer supports local inquiries, but Sadiq refuses to commit to funding one and instead wastes time to avoid accountability.”
She added, “It’s a disgrace and an insult to the victims. The Mayor continues to evade responsibility instead of supporting justice. It’s shameful.”
