Barron Trump announces unexpected career move

75views

Barron Trump, the youngest child of Donald Trump and Melania Trump, has surprised a lot of people by choosing a business path instead of going straight into politics like many expected. Because of who his father is, there has always been a lot of attention on what he might do in the future, with some people assuming he would eventually follow the same political route. But for now, it looks like he is more interested in building something of his own in the business world.

Being part of such a well-known and often controversial family isn’t easy, and Barron has grown up in the public eye. Recently, there has even been talk about young men in the United States being automatically registered for military service, which led some people online to mention him in that conversation. However, instead of getting pulled into politics or public debates, he seems focused on creating his own career in a completely different space.

Reports say that Barron, now around 20 years old, is one of several partners involved in a new company called Sollos Yerba Mate. This business is focused on selling a type of drink known as yerba mate, which is a plant-based beverage that naturally contains caffeine. It’s often seen as an alternative to coffee or energy drinks, and it’s especially popular in parts of South America where it originally comes from. The drink is made by soaking dried leaves and small branches from a plant called Ilex paraguariensis in hot water, creating a tea-like drink with an earthy taste and a noticeable energy boost.

Barron is not working alone on this project. He is part of a small group of partners, including Spencer Bernstein, Rudolfo Castello, Stephen Hall, and Valentino Gomez, who are all involved in building and promoting the brand. The company describes itself as more than just a drink business. They present it as a “lifestyle brand,” meaning they want it to represent a certain way of living, especially one that focuses on being active, spending time outdoors, and enjoying a relaxed but energetic lifestyle.

The brand name “SOLLOS” also has a meaning behind it. “Sol” means sun in Spanish and is meant to represent the start of the day, while “Los,” which is “Sol” written backwards, represents the end of the day. Together, the name is meant to reflect a full daily lifestyle, from morning to evening, and the role the drink can play throughout that time.

The company has already started promoting its products online and has announced its first flavour, which combines pineapple and coconut. The drink is expected to launch in May 2026, and early previews have shown sleek, modern packaging aimed at attracting younger consumers. Even Elon Musk briefly reacted to one of their posts online, praising the design, which helped bring more attention to the brand.

There are also reports that the business has managed to secure around $1 million in funding through private investment, suggesting there is already some financial backing behind the idea. The company is based in Palm Beach, Florida, not far from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, which connects it geographically to the Trump family’s base.

This isn’t actually Barron’s first attempt at business. A couple of years earlier, he reportedly started a real estate company, although that project didn’t last long and was shut down after his father returned to political office. He has also been linked to a cryptocurrency-related project, showing that he has been exploring different types of business opportunities while still quite young.

At the same time, Barron is continuing his education. He is currently studying at New York University’s Stern School of Business, which suggests he is trying to build knowledge and experience alongside his business ventures. All of this points to someone who is testing different paths and trying to find his own direction, rather than immediately stepping into the political spotlight.

For now, it seems clear that Barron is focused on entrepreneurship and business, at least in the early stage of his career. Whether he eventually moves into politics like his father or continues building companies remains to be seen, but at the moment, he appears to be carving out a very different path for himself.
