Elon Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has shared her honest and emotional reaction after hearing her father claim she was “dead” during a podcast interview with Jordan Peterson. Vivian, who is 21 years old and now living independently in Tokyo, said she hadn’t spoken to her father since 2020 and has cut all ties with him. She even changed her name and said she didn’t want to be connected to him in any way.
Vivian, who came out as a transgender woman in 2020, has often expressed her political views, which are completely opposite to her father’s. While Musk has aligned himself with conservative figures like Donald Trump, Vivian has embraced progressive activism and has appeared in platforms like Teen Vogue.
Last year, Elon Musk went on a podcast with Jordan Peterson and talked about his daughter. He not only used her old name, which is seen as deeply disrespectful to transgender people, but also claimed she had been “killed by the woke mind virus,” suggesting she was “dead” to him. During the show, Peterson responded seriously, saying he was sorry about Musk’s “child’s death,” not realizing that Vivian was actually alive and well.
Vivian recalled hearing about the podcast while she was in her small apartment in Tokyo. She said she had just woken up and saw a message from her aunt about the interview. She was shocked and angry when she heard what her father had said. She immediately told her mom, Justine Wilson, who had six children with Musk. Vivian said she felt the need to respond publicly, and her mom supported her decision but reminded her to be careful.
She didn’t hold back. Using Threads, a social media platform that competes with Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), she posted her reaction, saying things like, “I look pretty good for a dead b****,” mocking the claim. Her posts quickly went viral, and she received a lot of attention. A friend even told her to “eat him alive,” and she replied, “I’ll do my best.”
Vivian said her father’s words were not only untrue but came across as desperate and fake. She accused him of being attention-seeking and told him to “go touch some f***ing grass,” a slang way of telling someone to step away from the internet and face reality.
Before this incident, Vivian kept a low profile, but after her powerful and bold public response, she became widely noticed on social media. She said she knew exactly what she was getting into by responding, but felt it was necessary to stand up for herself and speak the truth.
