Outrage as Keir Starmer’s Secret Plot to Unpick Brexit Exposed – ‘Brits Are Being Betrayed!

149views

Priti Patel, a senior politician, has warned that Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party, is planning to undo Brexit, which she calls a “betrayal” of the British people. She says this betrayal will not be forgotten.

As the UK approaches the 5th anniversary of leaving the European Union (EU), Patel claims Starmer is determined to bring the UK back into the EU “through the back door.” In an article for the Daily Express, she accuses Starmer of trying to reverse Brexit in an “undemocratic” way.

Patel says, “Don’t be fooled, Starmer is trying to undo Brexit. Labour is pushing hard to take away the freedoms we gained from leaving the EU.”

Her comments come as the Prime Minister and Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, have suggested the UK might join a European customs agreement. The government says this wouldn’t break any rules, and Reeves said she’s open to considering proposals from the EU’s trade leader, Maros Sefcovic.

Starmer has also been accused of creating a team of up to 100 officials to negotiate with the EU, with the goal of reversing some Brexit decisions. Critics say this is a betrayal of Brexit. Patel warns that Starmer is just getting started and more “surrenders” to the EU are likely.

She praises Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal from 2020, which allowed the UK to trade with the EU without tariffs or quotas. Patel says this deal helped British businesses and ensured the UK was no longer controlled by the EU. She warns that Starmer’s plans would put the UK back under EU control, which she says is unfair to British families and businesses.

Patel ends with a strong message: “If you betray Brexit, you betray the British people, and you will pay the price.”

The UK officially left the EU on January 31, 2020. However, Labour’s plan to reset relations with the EU seems to be gaining support.

On a TV show, Rachel Reeves hinted that the UK might join the Pan Euro Mediterranean Convention (PEM), a trade agreement between 25 countries in Europe and North Africa. She said the current Brexit deal isn’t working well for businesses and that Labour is willing to consider new options.

Starmer’s team has said they won’t rejoin the EU single market or allow freedom of movement, but they are open to discussions about trade agreements like the PEM.

Some business groups support joining the PEM because it could help with trade and supply chains. However, the previous Conservative government avoided it, fearing it would limit the UK’s ability to make its own trade deals and set its own rules.

Reform Party MP Richard Tice criticized Reeves, saying her plans would hurt the UK’s economy by increasing regulations and taxes.
