Woman Shocked as Snake Crawls Out of Toilet While She Tried to Use It—Then Disappears Back In (Video)
A nursery worker was terrified when a large snake crawled out of her toilet. Kacey Leigh, from Burnley, was shocked when she saw the reptile trying to escape from the toilet. It is believed to be a pet that escaped.
Kacey, 21, and her boyfriend, Harvey Layfield, were getting ready for work when the snake suddenly appeared. She froze in fear when she saw it. The snake is likely a corn snake, a common pet in the UK. These snakes can grow up to 6 feet long. Originally from the US, they are not poisonous but kill their prey by squeezing them.
The RSPCA came to their home on Friday morning after they spotted the snake at 6 a.m. They tried to remove it, but it was stuck and quickly slid back down the pipes. Since then, the couple has avoided using the toilet, waiting for the snake to come back.
Kacey said, “I was in shock and ran to my bedroom. I turned on the bathroom light and saw something brown on the toilet seat. When I got closer, I realized it was a snake’s head.
“I woke up my boyfriend, but he didn’t believe me until he saw it himself. We have no idea how it got there. When he called the RSPCA, they were surprised because finding snakes in toilets is very rare in the UK.
“They tried to pull it out, but its stomach was too big. When they used a hook to remove it, the snake quickly went back down the toilet into the pipes.
“I couldn’t go to work because I had to wait for it to return, and we might need a plumber to check the pipes.
“We’re still scared to use the bathroom and keep checking the toilet before going in.”
