A man from Florida has died in a tragic incident after his wife shot him and then killed herself on the balcony of their luxury apartment. Police are calling it a murder-suicide.
The shooting happened early on Wednesday morning, November 27. At about 12:30 a.m., Hallandale Beach police received calls about gunshots at Beach Club II Hallandale, a high-rise building on South Ocean Drive.
When officers arrived, they found the bodies of Pajtim Krasniqi, 34, and his wife, Sabrina Krasniqi, 27, on the balcony of their apartment. Both had gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene, according to NBC 6.
Police said Sabrina shot Pajtim several times before turning the gun on herself. The couple lived on the 45th floor of the luxury building. Authorities are still investigating what caused the tragedy, but no details have been released yet.
The incident has devastated the family. Pajtim’s sister, Albana Krasniqi Munrett, shared her heartbreak in a Facebook post. She explained how the shooting has left her family in pain and shock. “Instead of spending Thanksgiving Eve with my husband and children, I was with police officers and reporters, trying to process the murder of my youngest brother by his wife,” she wrote.
She went on to say that Sabrina shot her brother five times in the chest. “The person he trusted the most, the one he chose to spend his life with, took his life away.
She betrayed him, his love, and his trust. She destroyed my family. My siblings and I are broken, and I’m afraid my mother will never recover from this,” Albana shared. She ended the post with a heartfelt message: “I love you always, Pajtim. Rest in peace.”
The couple was originally from Kosovo, and the Albanian newspaper *Gazeta Tema* confirmed that they were Albanian nationals.
Police are continuing to investigate the case but have not shared further details yet. Hallandale Beach police did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The tragic event has left both the family and the community in shock, as people try to make sense of the heartbreaking loss.
