Russia sends horror WW3 threat to nuke UK with ‘overwhelming’ strike – ‘Won’t expect it

Russia has sent a serious warning to the UK and other NATO countries, threatening what it called an “overwhelming” nuclear response if they continue supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons. The threat was broadcast on Russian state TV, where a well-known military analyst described what such a strike could look like, saying it would involve massive air and sea attacks using cruise missiles.

The warning came from Mikhail Khodaryonok, a retired colonel and military expert who regularly appears on Russian television. Speaking on air, he said that if Western European nations provide Kyiv with more powerful weapons, Russia would have no choice but to respond with full force. He claimed the West was “pushing” Moscow into taking extreme measures.

Khodaryonok explained that any potential strike by Russia would need to be sudden, large-scale, and sustained over time to be effective. He stressed that secrecy and surprise were key factors in any military operation of this kind. According to him, President Vladimir Putin himself has made it clear that Russia’s response would be devastating if Ukraine receives long-range missiles from NATO countries.

He described the possible attack as one that could involve “air and sea-launched cruise missiles” aimed at factories and military sites in Western European countries that have been sending weapons to Ukraine. Khodaryonok said this would serve as a powerful warning to make those nations think twice before retaliating.

The analyst went on to claim that Russia might even conduct “demonstrative nuclear strikes” over parts of the sea to show the world how serious it is. If that didn’t stop the West, he said, Russia could escalate further by using tactical nuclear weapons directly in Ukraine, insisting that NATO countries would only have themselves to blame.

He concluded by saying that Russia had been “forced” into this situation by Western actions and that the Kremlin would have no other option if it continued to feel threatened.

The warning came at the same time as reports surfaced about Russia ordering 56 new Kalibr missiles equipped with nuclear warheads. Documents allegedly leaked from the Kremlin show that the missiles are being produced under a contract with the Russian Research and Design Bureau Novator and are expected to be delivered between 2024 and 2026.

Kalibr cruise missiles are among Russia’s most dangerous weapons. They can carry either conventional or nuclear warheads weighing up to 500 kilograms and are launched from warships or submarines. The missiles use advanced guidance systems and fly at low altitudes to avoid being detected by air defense systems, making them difficult to intercept.

The latest developments have increased fears that Russia could be preparing for a major escalation in the war, potentially extending the conflict beyond Ukraine if tensions with NATO continue to rise.
