Man who refused to split £3,500 birthday dinner bill shares what they all ordered to prove his point

A YouTuber named Vic Gotti found himself in the middle of a big argument after a birthday dinner with friends turned into a huge mess over the bill. The dinner cost a whopping £3,500 (about $4,600), and when it came time to pay, no one could agree on how to split it. The whole thing got so heated that videos of the argument went viral, and Gotti decided to explain his side of the story to clear things up.

The problem started because some people in the group thought the bill should be split equally, meaning everyone would pay the same amount, no matter what they ordered. But Gotti didn’t think that was fair. He felt that everyone should only pay for what they actually ate and drank. To prove his point, he shared a breakdown of what everyone ordered during the meal. He explained that he only had calamari and a Sprite, so he didn’t think it was right to split the bill evenly when others were ordering much more expensive things like bottles of champagne, lamb chops, and multiple desserts.

The birthday girl was especially upset about the whole situation. She argued that since it was her birthday, she shouldn’t have to pay anything at all. She even said, “It’s my birthday, why should I have to pay for something on my birthday?” But Gotti didn’t agree with that either. He felt like everyone should take responsibility for what they ordered, no matter whose birthday it was.

As the argument got more intense, Gotti called out his friends for ordering so much expensive food and drinks. He said, “Y’all wondering how it got up to $4,600,” pointing out that the high bill was because some people were splurging on fancy items. One of his friends admitted to ordering duck tacos, calamari, and a drink, but Gotti said others were going all out with bottles of wine and multiple desserts. He even mentioned that some people thought the champagne was free, which added to the confusion and frustration.

One of his friends accused Gotti of drinking a lot too, saying he had half a bottle of champagne. But Gotti explained that he thought the drinks were free, which is why he didn’t hold back. He said, “I thought it was free. We all thought it was free.” Of course, that’s not how restaurants usually work, but in the heat of the moment, things got mixed up.

When the bill finally came, Gotti stood his ground and said he would only pay for what he ordered. He didn’t think it was fair to cover the cost of other people’s expensive choices. But his friends didn’t see it that way. They called him “broke” for not wanting to split the bill, which only made things more tense.

In the end, the whole situation was a disaster. Going out for a nice dinner with friends is supposed to be fun, but this turned into a nightmare because of the bill. Gotti hoped that next time, the group would choose a more affordable place and maybe have a clearer plan for how to handle the payment. After all, no one wants to end a celebration with a huge argument over money.
