Woman explores abandoned buildings and finds something that chills her to core (Video)

Living in an abandoned building isn’t something most people would feel brave enough to do, but one woman not only lived in one—she also shared some seriously spooky moments from her time there. Aisha Barratt, a TV producer from London, decided to become a “property guardian” to escape the city’s sky-high rent prices.

This meant she could live in an empty, abandoned hospital at a much lower cost, as long as she helped keep an eye on the place. Over 100 other people were also living in the building at the time.

One day, while wandering around the hospital, Aisha stumbled upon a long hallway filled with doors that were all padlocked shut. She had a feeling this area might have been the hospital’s morgue a place where dead bodies are stored before they’re identified, buried, or cremated.

Morgues are also used for autopsies, which are medical examinations to find out how someone died. Aisha decided to film her discovery and posted a video on TikTok, showing herself walking down the creepy hallway, passing one locked door after another. In the video, she wrote, “POV: Finding the morgue in the abandoned hospital I live in,” and said out loud, “This is the morgue. People ask me about this all the time, so here it is.”

As she walked further down the hallway, she pointed out the padlocks on the doors and mentioned that she hadn’t known what they were for at first, but someone in the comments of a previous video had suggested it was the morgue.

At the end of the hallway, she found another corridor, but it was blocked off by a wooden board with a sign that read, “No unauthorized persons allowed beyond this point.” The sign added to the eerie vibe, and Aisha admitted the whole area was too creepy for her. She joked, “Don’t ask me to go there again. I don’t want to get possessed.”

Her TikTok video quickly went viral, racking up over 743,000 views and thousands of comments. Some viewers thought they spotted something terrifying in the video, like a face peeking through a door or a strange shape on the floor.

One person commented, “There is a face peering at you through the glass in the door by the morgue area,” while another asked, “What was that moment in the hallway?” Aisha replied to one comment, saying she hoped the “face” was just her reflection, but it was clear the video had left people feeling spooked.

Despite the creepy atmosphere, Aisha reassured everyone that there wouldn’t be any bodies left in the morgue. She explained that it would be extremely disrespectful and simply wouldn’t happen. Someone who actually works in a morgue even commented on her video, saying, “As someone who routinely goes to the morgue for my job, it’s really not that exciting.” Aisha agreed, adding that if people thought about it logically, they’d realize there’s no way bodies would just be left there.

In the end, Aisha’s video gave people a fascinating—and chilling—look into what it’s like to live in an abandoned hospital. While she found the experience intriguing, she made it clear that she wouldn’t be exploring the morgue area again anytime soon. The whole thing left her—and her viewers—with a mix of curiosity and unease, proving that sometimes, the unknown can be both fascinating and a little too scary to handle.
