He recently got a call from someone claiming he owed £1,000 for a computer insurance policy he didn’t even remember buying. “They were so pushy and scary,” he said. Christopher urged everyone to ignore these calls and never share personal details. Don added that his mum had been targeted too, with scammers pretending to be her bank. “Never give out your one-time password,” he warned.

The council tax crisis is causing a lot of anger.
