Joe Biden will leave office “in disgrace and humiliations”- CNN’s Scott Jennings Blast Biden On Live TV (Video)
CNN’s Scott Jennings said President Joe Biden will leave office “in disgrace” next month, pointing to rising inflation, the chaotic 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, and what he called a “cover-up” of Biden’s mental fitness.
On State of the Union Sunday morning, anchor Dana Bash hosted a panel to discuss Biden’s final weeks in office and the legacy he might leave.
Democrat and CNN contributor Karen Finney argued that, while Biden faced challenges late in his term, his overall record would be seen positively.
Jennings criticized Biden and his administration, specifically mentioning the Kabul airport suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members.
Finney defended Biden, saying he helped lead the country out of the pandemic and that his economic policies would eventually be appreciated.
“Joe Biden’s accomplishments will stand the test of time,” she said, also noting his achievements in foreign policy and the Middle East. However, she acknowledged concerns about his health. “It was disturbing to see how poor his health had become,” she said, but added, “He still got the job done.”
Jennings interrupted, questioning if the Middle East is better off now compared to when Biden took office. Finney highlighted Biden’s efforts to free American hostages, but Jennings disagreed.
He responded sharply: “I think he’s leaving office in disgrace! The Hunter Biden pardon was shameful. He’ll be remembered for inflation and the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
And as we learn more about the cover-up of his mental state—not just in recent months but throughout his presidency—it’s clear this was a diminished presidency. This will be remembered as an ugly chapter in history.”
