Stephen A. Smith strongly criticized the Democratic Party on his show Saturday, accusing them of lying, hiding the truth, and being corrupt. He specifically called them out for downplaying the involvement of FBI informants in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
According to a report by the Justice Department’s inspector general, 26 FBI informants were present in Washington, D.C., on the day of the riot.
Out of these, only three were officially instructed by the FBI to monitor potential domestic threats. The rest went on their own, and none of them had permission to enter restricted areas.
On The Stephen A. Smith Show, Smith said this report challenges the narrative pushed by Democrats. He pointed out how anyone who previously suggested the FBI had informants at the riot was labeled a conspiracy theorist.
But now, the report shows that informants were there, raising questions about what the FBI and the Democrats knew about the events leading up to the riot.
Smith accused Democrats of using the Capitol riot to attack Republicans and former President Donald Trump.
He said Democrats have spent years claiming Trump and his supporters are a threat to democracy, using the riot as proof of their argument. But now, new evidence shows the story isn’t as simple as they made it seem.
Smith expressed his frustration, saying he’s tired of finding out that Democrats have lied or misled the public about important issues. He said, “Every time I turn around, there’s another example of something they’ve hidden or twisted.
He also criticized big-name Democrats like Oprah Winfrey and Al Sharpton for accepting money from the party while turning a blind eye to its problems.
Smith went on to compare Democrats to Republicans, saying that while Republicans like Sean Hannity, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens often criticize Democrats, they sometimes end up being right. “I’d love to argue with them,” he said, “but how can I when the facts keep proving them right?”
He also pointed out how Democrats often accuse Republicans of being corrupt, dishonest, and hypocritical. However, Smith argued, Democrats themselves are guilty of the same behavior. He said, “They make these big accusations about the other side, but we keep finding out that they’re doing the same thing they accuse Republicans of.”
Smith’s main point was that both parties have problems, but he’s especially frustrated with the Democrats’ hypocrisy. “I’m sick of all of it,” he said. “We deserve better than this constant cycle of lies and cover-ups.” He urged people to stop blindly trusting political parties and start holding them accountable for their actions.
