Shocking Video Shows Schoolgirl Telling Asylum Seekers to Come to the UK and That They Will Be Welcomed with Great Benefits.

Elon Musk claimed a video from the Welsh Refugee Council (WRC) was being used to encourage migrant men to move to Wales.

The video, created by a school in South Wales, showed two schoolgirls welcoming refugees and explaining the support asylum seekers could receive from the WRC and other organizations. One girl described Wales as a “nation of sanctuary,” while the other praised the assistance provided by the WRC.

Although the school removed the video shortly after posting it last year, it recently resurfaced and caught the attention of high-profile figures, including Elon Musk, who criticized it.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp called the video “deeply irresponsible,” especially given concerns about grooming gangs, and said it should not have been shared in the first place. Former Welsh Conservatives leader Andrew RT Davies accused Welsh Labour ministers of using children as propaganda, calling it “highly inappropriate.”

The WRC defended itself, stating the video was intended to show positivity and inclusion, not to promote migration. They expressed concern about misinformation being spread by influential figures, which they said could lead to threats against their staff and organization. The WRC also referred Davies’ comments to the Senedd’s Standards Commissioner.

In response, Davies said Britain has a history of helping those in need but insisted that using schoolchildren in such videos is wrong.

The WRC clarified that it did not produce the video but shared it as an example of young people promoting compassion and inclusion. Both the school and the WRC removed the video and related posts in 2023, but copies continue to circulate online.
