Sadiq Khan Slammed for Spreading  Propaganda’ in Eid Speech, You Won’t Believe What He Said

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, gave a speech during Eid where he talked about the suffering caused by the ongoing war in Gaza. He said many people couldn’t fully enjoy the celebration because of the violence and loss of life in places like Sudan and Palestine.

He mentioned that over 50,000 Palestinians, including more than 15,000 children, have died due to Israel’s military actions, and he called for a ceasefire.

His comments sparked backlash. The Israeli Embassy criticized him for not mentioning Hamas, which they say is responsible for starting the war with its attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. They also accused Khan of ignoring the 59 hostages still held by Hamas and not condemning terrorism.

The embassy pointed out that even some Palestinians, like Uday al-Rabbay, have protested against Hamas and paid with their lives. According to reports, Uday was taken, tortured, and killed by Hamas for speaking out.

Khan’s office responded by saying he has clearly condemned Hamas’s attacks and is deeply saddened by the loss of life on both sides. He supports a lasting ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Hamas hasn’t agreed to Israel’s latest ceasefire proposal. Instead, it sticks with a different one backed by Egypt and Qatar.

The proposal includes releasing hostages and prisoners on both sides and letting aid enter Gaza. But despite earlier talks and temporary ceasefires, Israel has resumed military operations and plans to expand them in Gaza, taking control of more areas and relocating many people.
