Prince Harry report leaves GMB viewers fuming as they all have same response

Good Morning Britain viewers were surprised and upset after it came out that Prince Harry made a surprise visit to Ukraine — and Buckingham Palace had no idea it was happening.

Just a few days earlier, on April 7, Prince Harry had returned to the UK to continue his legal battle over whether he should get the same kind of taxpayer-funded security protection he used to receive when he was an active royal. The court has already ruled against him once, saying he no longer qualifies for that level of protection.

But after that court appearance, he unexpectedly travelled to Ukraine. While there, he visited the Superhumans Centre in Lviv, where he met with injured soldiers and war victims. He was joined by members of the Invictus Games Foundation, including four veterans who had gone through similar recovery journeys.

On April 11, during a broadcast of *Good Morning Britain*, hosts Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins talked about Harry’s trip. Viewers quickly jumped online, especially on X (formerly Twitter), to share their thoughts. A lot of people were confused about why the Palace would even be expected to know about Harry’s plans.

One person wrote, “Why would they know? He left them.” Another said, “They’re the ones who stopped his security — why would he tell them anything?” Someone else added, “This has nothing to do with Buckingham Palace anymore,” while another viewer called the trip a “PR stunt,” saying, “He left to become a celebrity — why would he report to them?”

People were clearly divided — some defended Harry’s right to act independently, while others felt the Palace should have been in the loop. Either way, it stirred up a lot of debate and continues to make headlines.
