GB News presenter Nana Akua has weighed in on the latest controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. During her segment, she discussed The Lost Prince, a new documentary produced by German network ZDF that delves into the couple’s life in Montecito, California. Nana described the program as a “documentary about you, without you,” noting that Harry and Meghan had no involvement in its production.
In her commentary, Nana highlighted the criticism aimed at Meghan by locals featured in the documentary, with one neighbor calling her “no asset to the community.” Harry, however, was praised for his sociability, a skill that Nana said comes naturally to him because of his royal upbringing.
The title of the documentary, The Lost Prince, draws comparisons with the tragic story of Prince John, a member of the royal family who died young after living a life marked by health struggles and secrecy. Nana made it clear that there is no real comparison between Prince John’s plight and Harry’s current circumstances, which she described as “completely self-made.”
Nana also critiqued Harry and Meghan’s involvement in their latest project, a polo documentary. Executive produced by the couple, the program has been criticized for its focus on an elite sport that many find unrelatable. Nana pointed out the absence of Harry in much of the footage, despite his name being tied to the project, and questioned why the couple chose to align themselves with such a niche subject during challenging economic times.
Adding to her criticism, Nana revisited Harry’s remarks at a recent New York summit where he claimed his children enjoy “greater privacy” in the U.S. She called this statement ironic, given the couple’s history of high-profile interviews, memoirs, and media projects.
Nana contrasted Harry’s actions with those of his brother, Prince William, who recently attended the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral and met with Donald Trump. She described William as a “brilliant statesman” and a clear example of responsible leadership, unlike his “woeful brother.”
As the holidays approach, Nana suggested that reconciliation between Harry and the royal family is unlikely. With the couple’s Spotify deal canceled, projects delayed, and public patience running thin, Nana warned that Harry and Meghan must rethink their strategies to regain public support.
In her closing remarks, Nana reflected on the couple’s trajectory, saying: “Just when you think you’re warming to Harry, he makes another decision that leaves people shaking their heads. Perhaps it’s time they stopped blaming others and started focusing on meaningful actions.”
