Prince Andrew seems to be facing a series of challenges as he continues to test King Charles’s patience.
The Duke of York, who lost his royal titles and patronages, is caught up in an ongoing dispute with his brother over the Royal Lodge. Despite proving to the Keeper of the Privy Purse that his income comes from “legitimate sources” and that he can maintain the property, the state of the residence tells a different story.
The Royal Lodge is reportedly in poor condition. Todd Longstaffe Gowan, a gardener for Historic Royal Palaces, described the property as “shocking” and beyond repair. He told Fox News Digital that Andrew has been trying to save money by working on the gardens himself, but this effort has been deemed “impossible.”
“I wouldn’t be able to fix it! It’s impossible!” said Gowan, who has been at Kensington Palace for 30 years. Insiders agree, noting that the gardens are overgrown, with shrubs and woodland taking over, and the once-beautiful flowers have disappeared.
Due to concerns over preserving royal heritage, King Charles has ordered valuable artefacts to be removed from Andrew’s care for maintenance and security. The King is reportedly “furious” and losing patience with Andrew after a series of scandals that have damaged the royal family’s image and even raised national security concerns.
According to reports, King Charles may be considering serious action against his brother, especially after the recent spy allegations. A palace insider told InTouch Weekly that Charles is “at the end of his rope” with Andrew, and the espionage claims have only made the situation worse.
