In an exclusive interview during his visit to Washington, Nigel Farage praised Donald Trump as the most pro-British president in 64 years. Farage also warned Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer against prioritizing ties with the EU over strengthening relations with the United States, which he called a “huge opportunity” for Britain.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Farage highlighted the potential for a strong economic partnership with America under Trump’s leadership. He cautioned that focusing on re-establishing close ties with the EU could damage Britain’s chances of capitalizing on this opportunity.

Farage also revealed that Trump plans to restore the bust of Winston Churchill to the Oval Office, calling it a symbol of Trump’s admiration for Britain. He described Trump as deeply connected to his Scottish roots and noted the president’s investments in Scotland and love for British culture, including music by Elton John, David Bowie, and Phil Collins.

“This is the most pro-British president since Eisenhower,” Farage said. “We must not waste this chance.”

Farage criticized London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, for calling Trump’s return to power the “march of fascism,” labeling the remarks a disgrace. He argued that such comments harm Britain’s relationship with its most important ally. “Without America, we can’t defend ourselves,” he said, warning that Khan’s statements were “very dangerous.”

Farage praised Trump’s policies on tackling crime, illegal migration, and promoting values like hard work and success. “We could benefit from adopting some of that culture,” he added.

The Reform UK leader also confirmed that his trip to the U.S. included discussions with Anglo-American donors about funding his party. He acknowledged that fundraising was part of his agenda, with party treasurer Nick Candy recently disclosing that a supporter had offered $10 million to the party.
