King Charles ‘shocked and saddened’ as he releases message on deadly plane crash

Earlier this week, a tragic accident occurred when a military helicopter and a passenger plane collided, resulting in the death of 67 people. This heartbreaking event has left many in shock and mourning.

Following the crash, King Charles shared a heartfelt message to express his sorrow. The crash involved an American Airlines plane and happened on Wednesday. King Charles spoke about how deeply saddened he and his family were by the news.

On Saturday afternoon, Buckingham Palace released the King’s message, which said: 
“My family and I are deeply shocked and saddened by the terrible news of the plane crash in Washington, D.C. It is devastating to hear about the loss of so many lives. 

Our hearts go out to the people of the United States during this difficult time. We send our deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragedy. 

I also want to take a moment to thank the emergency responders who acted so quickly and bravely during this horrific event. Their efforts in such challenging circumstances are truly commendable.” 

The message was signed “Charles R.” The “R” stands for “Rex,” which means “King” in Latin.
