King Charles finally decides to fulfil promise he made 15 years ago

King Charles stepped out for a lively engagement on Wednesday, choosing to focus on a cheerful outing rather than dwell on a rather sad anniversary.

During the event, the King received encouragement for one of his personal talents—painting. After much enthusiasm from those in attendance, he made a sweet promise to continue practicing and possibly share his work in the future.

Charles was visiting the Polish Social and Cultural Association (POSK) in Hammersmith, where he showed his support for the UK’s Polish community. As he was welcomed by staff at the gallery, he was reminded of a promise he had made 15 years ago during his last visit to POSK.

Joanna Ciechanowska, an artist and manager of the gallery, playfully asked Charles, “Have you brought your paintings, your beautiful paintings, to us?”

The King smiled, acknowledging the long-standing promise, and replied, “No, sadly not,” before modestly adding, “I’m not sure they’re that good.”

As he viewed the artworks on display, Charles made another promise, saying, “I’ll try and keep up my painting and you’ll have to exhibit them here.” However, he admitted, “I haven’t done any of Poland.”

Following the visit, Buckingham Palace shared a video highlighting moments from the event, showing Charles warmly interacting with guests, admiring the artwork, and engaging with members of the Polish community.

The visit came just weeks after Charles traveled to Poland for the first time as monarch to commemorate a significant and somber historical event.

It also marked almost a year since the public learned about the King’s cancer diagnosis, making the engagement a reminder of his resilience and ongoing commitment to his royal duties.
