ITV’s Ranvir Singh Opens Up About Dating a Younger Man—Why She’s Taking It Slow!

10views

Ranvir Singh has been a familiar face on Good Morning Britain for 12 years. She started as a political editor before becoming a co-host alongside Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid. Now, she is expanding her skills by hosting the quiz show Riddiculous and the consumer advice series Scam Britain: How to Stay Safe.

Besides her TV work, Ranvir also impressed audiences with her dancing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020. In her personal life, she shares a close bond with her son, Tushaan, and has been in a happy relationship. Even though she is well known, she has kept her personal life mostly private. However, in a recent interview, she opened up about her journey, including becoming a single mother while she was pregnant.

She reflected on how life often doesn’t go as planned, saying that she had reached a point where she wanted to share more of her story. She married Ranjeet Singh Dehal in 2012, and shortly after, she became pregnant with Tushaan, who is now 12. A few years later, she confirmed that she was single during an ITV Breakfast segment but didn’t go into details until she appeared on the *White Wine Question Time* podcast with Kate Thornton.

Ranvir spoke about how raising her son alone created a unique and deep connection between them. She explained that since it has always been just the two of them, she never had someone else to lean on during tough times. Their relationship is built on honesty, and she treasures their close bond. However, as Tushaan grows older, she is learning to give him more independence. “He’s 12 now, and I know he’s not mine to keep,” she said.

Since 2020, Ranvir has been in a relationship with TV production manager Louis Church, who is much younger than her. She has never been concerned about their age difference but took her time before introducing him to her son. She explained that when you have a child, relationships are not just about personal feelings. She wanted to be sure it was the right decision for both of them.

She admitted that single parents tend to be very cautious about bringing someone new into their lives. The decision isn’t just about romance—it’s also about whether the new person fits into the life they’ve built with their child. She said, “We can take risks for ourselves, but when we have children, we’re always careful.” However, she also believes that love is a brave decision and that relationships take effort over time.

Throughout her career, Ranvir has formed strong friendships with her *GMB* colleagues, including Kate and Susanna. She feels proud of balancing work and motherhood over the past 12 years but credits her editors and colleagues for their support. “GMB feels like a family, and I’ve been lucky to work in a place where my job and personal life can coexist,” she said.

Outside of television, Ranvir lives in the Chiltern Hills and supports the Canal and River Trust. This campaign encourages people to volunteer and help maintain local waterways. She finds great joy in walking her dog, Shmizzels, along the canal near her home and watching Tushaan enjoy fishing. She said she never realized how much being near water could improve her quality of life.

During her walks, Ranvir enjoys listening to Kathy Burke’s podcast, *Where There’s a Will, There’s a Wake*, which discusses life and death in a humorous way. She believes it reminds people to make the most of today. She said, “Life doesn’t last forever, so even small things we do each day can make us feel better. Not everyone can make big life changes, but we can always do something small for ourselves.”
