“GO TO HELL!” Trump Sends Christmas Day Message Attacking Biden’s Pardons, Criticizing ‘Radical Left Lunatics,’ and Making Fun of Trudeau
President-elect Donald Trump shared a message on Christmas Day on his Truth Social platform, where he took aim at his political opponents and mocked leaders from other countries.
Trump began by addressing the “wonderful soldiers of China,” accusing them of operating illegally in the Panama Canal while the United States spends billions of dollars on repairs. He also reminded his followers that the U.S. had lost 38,000 people in the construction of the canal over 100 years ago. Earlier in the month, Trump had mentioned that the U.S. might take back control of the canal because of the high fees charged to ships that pass through it.
Trump wrote: “Merry Christmas to all, including to the wonderful soldiers of China, who are illegally running the Panama Canal (where we lost 38,000 people while building it 110 years ago). They always make sure that the United States spends billions on repairs but will never speak up about anything.”
Next, Trump made fun of the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, calling him “Governor.” He also repeated his earlier plan to buy Greenland from Denmark, saying that the U.S. needed Greenland for national security purposes. Trump claimed that if Canada became a part of the United States, Canadians would pay much lower taxes, their businesses would grow, and they would be protected by the U.S. military.
Trump said, “Also, to Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, where citizens pay too much in taxes. If Canada became our 51st state, their taxes would be cut by over 60%. Their businesses would grow, and they would be protected by the U.S. military like no other country. And to the people of Greenland, who want the U.S. to be there, we will!”
In another follow-up post, Trump wished a “Merry Christmas” to the “radical Left Lunatics,” a term he used to describe his political opponents. He criticized them for attempting to interfere with the U.S. legal system and elections. Trump also accused them of targeting patriotic Americans, especially himself.
“Merry Christmas to the Radical Left Lunatics, who are constantly trying to block our courts and our elections. They are always going after the great citizens and patriots of the U.S., but especially me. They know their only hope for survival is to get pardons from a man who doesn’t know what he’s doing,” Trump posted.
This comment was in reference to President Joe Biden’s decision just before Christmas to reduce the sentences of 37 out of the 40 men on federal death row, changing their sentences to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Many of these men were convicted of serious crimes, including murder and rape.
Trump finished his message with more criticism of Biden, saying, “Also, to the 37 most violent criminals, who killed, raped, and stole like few others, but were pardoned by Sleepy Joe Biden, I won’t wish them a Merry Christmas. Instead, I’ll say, GO TO HELL! We had the greatest election in the history of our country, and a bright future is ahead for the U.S. In 26 days, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
Trump’s message was a combination of holiday greetings and sharp criticisms of his political opponents, foreign leaders, and some of Biden’s recent actions.
