Elon Musk Hits Back at “Contemptible Fools” in Republican Party, Says They Must Be Removed Over MAGA Immigration Disagreement

Elon Musk responded sharply on Friday to what he called the “despicable fools” in the Republican Party, arguing that they should be removed. This response came amid a growing conflict within the MAGA movement over immigration issues.

Vivek Ramaswamy and Musk angered the hard-right wing of the GOP and many MAGA supporters when they defended the use of H-1B visas. These visas allow skilled workers from other countries to come to the United States. Ramaswamy caused even more controversy on Thursday when he argued that the U.S. needs to bring in skilled workers. He believes that American culture has led to a decline in excellence, causing many people in the country to become mediocre.

Ramaswamy expressed his thoughts, writing, “Our American culture has celebrated mediocrity over excellence for too long, probably since the 90s, maybe even earlier.” This came after some MAGA influencers criticized President-elect Donald Trump for hiring a well-known Indian American tech executive for his administration.

Neera Tanden, a former advisor to President Biden, responded on X (formerly Twitter) to the criticism aimed at Indian Americans. She wrote, “I am an Indian American who was born here, and it’s clear that the Democratic Party sees me as American. But many in the Republican Party do not. I hope Indian Americans remember this at the next election. They don’t see you as one of them, and they never will.”

Tanden’s post was shared by Scott Adams, the creator of the “Dilbert” comic strip, who is known for his far-right views. Adams added, “MAGA is learning how to lose elections while still feeling good about themselves, just like the Democrats.”

Musk didn’t hold back in his response to Adams, agreeing with him and saying, “Yes. And those despicable fools need to be completely removed from the Republican Party.”

Musk has been facing increasing criticism from many within the MAGA movement. Prominent figures like Steve Bannon and Laura Loomer have been particularly vocal in their disapproval. Axios reported that a “right-wing civil war” has erupted over issues like race, class, immigration, and the future of Trump’s political movement. The report also noted that Musk is becoming more at odds with Trump’s traditional base of supporters, especially as he aligns himself with a group of wealthy, tech-savvy billionaires.

This growing division could force Trump to take a side between his loyal working-class supporters, who were crucial to his early success, and the tech billionaires like Musk, who now have significant influence within his administration.

In response to Musk’s comments, Andrew Torba, the CEO of the far-right social media platform Gab, replied, saying, “Musk is declaring war on us. Let’s see how that works out for him, just like it has for everyone else who tried.” This reflects the tension building within the MAGA movement and how Musk’s stance is increasingly at odds with some of the more traditional elements of the right-wing movement.
