Donald Trump Jr. mocked for allegedly appearing ‘drunk’ and slurring words during Fox News interview (Video)

Donald Trump Jr. found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons after his recent appearance on Fox News.

The interview quickly went viral, not for what he said, but how he said it—viewers accused him of slurring his words and appearing intoxicated, sparking a flurry of mockery and speculation on social media.

The incident occurred during an interview with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo on her show Sunday Morning Futures.

During their discussion, Bartiromo asked Trump Jr. about Matt Gaetz, a controversial pick by President-elect Donald Trump for Attorney General.

Trump Jr. responded, “They are going to be actual disrupters. That’s what the American people want, but Washington DC doesn’t want that.”

While his comments aimed to critique Washington’s resistance to change, it was his delivery that stole the attention.

Viewers noticed him slurring his “a’s” and “s’s,” leading to widespread speculation that he might have been under the influence.

Once a clip of the interview hit X (formerly Twitter), the trolling began. One user wrote, “Wow. A seemingly intoxicated Donald Trump Jr.

can’t get his words out and gets our nation’s capital wrong by calling it ‘Washington TC.’ Is he drunk, high, or just stupid?” Another chimed in, “I’m going with drunk, high, AND very stupid!”

Some users went further, suggesting he was “coked out” or insecure, while others joked that his behavior mirrored someone about to fail a sobriety test.

The internet was relentless, with one comment saying, “If he were driving, this is when the cop would ask him to step out of the car.”

This isn’t the first time Donald Trump Jr. has faced rumors of substance abuse. Just last month, he was accused of using drugs during a SpaceX launch event alongside his father, Donald Trump, and Elon Musk.

In a widely circulated video from the event, Trump Jr. was seen putting his hand in his pocket and then rubbing his fingers on his gums—a gesture some interpreted as drug use.

These accusations follow him from as far back as 2020 when a former girlfriend reportedly admitted they had used drugs together.

However, she clarified that cocaine was never involved, claiming he didn’t show interest in it.

Donald Trump Jr.’s public image has long been a mix of controversy and loyalty to his father’s political ambitions.

Whether these accusations of being drunk or high are accurate or just another round of internet speculation, they highlight how closely scrutinized he is by both critics and supporters.

For now, the internet has its jokes, and Trump Jr. has yet to address the viral clip directly. Whether it was a bad day, poor articulation, or something more, it’s clear his words—and how he said them—aren’t going to be forgotten anytime soon.
