Donald Trump ‘gave Vladimir Putin go-ahead to attack London, Paris or Brussels’, warns expert

A source close to the Kremlin has warned that President Donald Trump’s “unprecedented” concessions to Russia during recent peace talks could give Russia the green light to attack major European cities like Brussels, Paris, or even London.

This warning comes weeks after an expert suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin might be planning a “mass casualty event” in Europe.

During the talks, Trump’s team reportedly dismissed the possibility of Ukraine reclaiming territories occupied by Russia. This has shocked Ukrainians and their allies, while Russian media has celebrated the development.

Analysts had predicted that Trump’s return to the White House might reduce U.S. support for Ukraine, but the speed at which he is strengthening ties with Russia has surprised many. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that Putin is “scared of Trump,” but the recent talks suggest otherwise.

On a Russian TV program, Karen Shakhnazarov, Director General of Mosfilm, praised the discussions between global leaders, calling them a major success. He compared the situation to Julius Caesar calling a barbarian chieftain, emphasizing the significance of the U.S. president reaching out to Russia.

Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth caused controversy by suggesting that the U.S. might not honor NATO’s Article 5 if Europe were to take military action against Russia. Article 5 states that an attack on one NATO member is considered an attack on all, requiring collective defense.

Political scientist Sergey Mikheyev added that Russia could now consider striking cities like Brussels, London, or Paris without fearing U.S. intervention.

In Russia, there are calls for the military to seize more Ukrainian territory, with Kremlin analysts predicting that Putin’s talks with Trump mean Russia may face no consequences for any land it annexes.
