Death row inmate had chilling final words for victims’ families before mentioning Trump in ‘confusing’ statement

Glen Rogers, a man once called the “Casanova Killer,” was executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison on May 15 after spending nearly 30 years on death row. Known for his charm and good looks, Rogers had been convicted of killing two women in 1995, but he had allegedly claimed to police that he was responsible for up to 70 murders across the U.S.

Just before his execution, Rogers gave a strange and unsettling final statement. He looked at the families of his victims and told them he understood they had unanswered questions. He promised that somehow, those answers would come one day and that he hoped it would bring them a sense of closure. Then, in a moment that confused many in the room, he added: “President Trump, keep making America great.” The unexpected reference to Trump left witnesses—including the victims’ families—baffled. Randy Roberson, the son of one of the victims, said he was shocked and confused, wondering why Trump was even mentioned. His wife, who was also present, said her immediate thought was simply, “What the hell?”

For his last meal, Rogers chose pizza, chocolate cake, and soda. He also thanked his wife, who had come to see him earlier that day. His words, behavior, and even his meal added to the eerie and emotional atmosphere during his final moments.

Rogers earned his nickname not only because of his looks but also because he lured victims from bars across different U.S. states. His first confirmed murder was in Florida, where he killed 34-year-old Tina Marie Cribbs. He met her at a bar, convinced her to give him a ride, and then stabbed her to death. Her body was later discovered in a motel bathtub, and police captured Rogers during a car chase in Kentucky while he was driving her stolen car.

He later received another death sentence in California for killing Sandra Gallagher, a 33-year-old mother of three. He had also met her in a bar. She was strangled and left in her burning car near his apartment. Rogers was also suspected of killing other victims, including Mark Peters, a retired electrician in Ohio, and Linda Price, a mother of two in Mississippi.

One of his most horrific murders was that of Andy Lou Jiles Sutton, a 37-year-old mother of four from Louisiana. She was found stabbed to death in her own bed. Her son later witnessed Rogers’ execution.

In court, one victim’s sister once described Rogers as an “animal,” calling him one of the most evil people she could imagine. His crimes were brutal, and his victims were spread across multiple states, earning him another nickname: the “Cross Country Killer.”

There was also a strange claim from Rogers’ brother in a 2012 documentary, suggesting Glen was responsible for the infamous 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. However, police dismissed that claim.

Glen Rogers was declared dead at 6:16 p.m. He was the fifth person executed in Florida this year and the 16th overall in the United States in 2024. His disturbing final words and long history of violence left a lasting impression on everyone who followed the case.
