According to the report, Harp later explained that golf course staff had told her to walk because there were not enough carts available. She said she was also asked to continue walking the following day to avoid adding another cart to the course.
Private messages attributed to Harp also attracted attention because of the very personal way she reportedly expressed her loyalty to Trump. Her estranged brother, Preston Harp, has publicly described her attachment to Trump as an “unhealthy obsession.”
