Furious King Charles Blasts Prince Andrew for Dragging Him Into Scandal – ‘Enough is Enough!'”

Buckingham Palace has issued a rare public statement denying that King Charles was aware of any connection between Prince Andrew’s proposed investment fund and an alleged Chinese spy, after court documents revealed claims that the monarch had been briefed on the matter.

Newly released legal filings include a witness statement from Dominic Hampshire, a senior adviser to Prince Andrew, who alleges that he and the Duke of York held private meetings with the King at Windsor Castle in December 2023 and May 2024. According to Hampshire, they discussed the Eurasia Fund—a venture intended to channel Chinese investment into African renewable energy projects.

The controversy stems from the reported involvement of Yang Tengbo, a Chinese businessman previously barred from the UK on national security grounds. Yang denies any espionage allegations.

Buckingham Palace swiftly rejected any suggestion that the King was informed about Yang’s alleged role, stating:
“While His Majesty the King met with The Duke and his adviser to hear outline proposals for independent funding over the past year, the individual known as H6 [Yang Tengbo] was not mentioned at any time or in any way as part of these discussions.”

The claims add to Prince Andrew’s mounting controversies, following his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his subsequent withdrawal from royal duties. The latest revelations risk further damaging his reputation and could fuel scrutiny over his financial dealings.

For King Charles, the palace’s strong rebuttal underscores efforts to distance the monarchy from Andrew’s affairs. However, the mere suggestion of royal involvement in a fund linked to a suspected foreign operative may raise fresh questions about oversight and transparency within the royal family.

As legal proceedings continue, the case threatens to reignite debates over Prince Andrew’s future role—or lack thereof—in royal engagements.
