Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, stopped working as a royal in November 2019. Recently, he made a business deal with a Dutch company called Startupbootcamp. This deal could earn him millions of pounds because of his connections from his project, Pitch@Palace. This is the first known work he has done since stepping back from royal duties five years ago.

According to reports, Prince Andrew will get paid for every deal Startupbootcamp makes around the world. The company first proposed the deal to Buckingham Palace last summer, and it has now been finalized. A source said, “He will earn money from each deal Startupbootcamp gets through his Pitch@Palace work.”

This deal comes at a time when King Charles has stopped giving Prince Andrew £1 million a year. There are also efforts to move Andrew out of his home, Royal Lodge. Despite these money problems, Andrew has stayed at the Windsor property. Palace sources say they have been assured about Andrew’s new income, which might help him keep living at Royal Lodge.

The CEO of Startupbootcamp, Kauan von Novack, said the company supports working with Prince Andrew. He mentioned that their goal is to help entrepreneurs make positive changes in the world and that they see great value in the network created by Pitch@Palace.

Buckingham Palace has made it clear that they have not reviewed or approved any financial agreements between Prince Andrew and Startupbootcamp.

In other news, a school named after Prince Andrew plans to change its name. The school, located on the remote island of St Helena, opened in 1989. Due to recent controversies and negative media attention, the school has decided to pick a more neutral name. Students are being asked to suggest new names, and the change will take effect at the start of the school year in September 2025. Buckingham Palace has approved the name change.
