Katie Price Unrecognisable in Rare Throwback – Mum Reveals Shocking Truth About Her Life Before Plastic Surgery
Katie Price has been changing her appearance for years through cosmetic surgery. Her mother, Amy Price, has shared that Katie has struggled with her looks since childhood, despite once being naturally beautiful.
Katie, now 45, rose to fame as a glamour model at just 18, using the name ‘Jordan’ for The Sun’s Page 3 in 1996. Back then, she looked very different from how she does today. Over nearly three decades, she has spent an estimated £100,000 on surgeries, including multiple breast augmentations, facelifts, and fillers.
A resurfaced photo from the mid-1990s, before her transformation began, shows a young Katie with a completely natural look.
She is believed to have had her first cosmetic work in 2001 when reports suggested she underwent a breast enlargement and got lip fillers. By 2004, she had openly admitted to using Botox at just 26 to keep wrinkles at bay.
Her mother, Amy, has expressed concern over Katie’s obsession with surgery, saying it may have started as far back as childhood. Amy recalled that Katie, feeling self-conscious about her thin legs, would wear multiple pairs of leggings to make them look bigger. She was also shy as a child, more interested in horses than boys until her mid-teens.
Amy has found it difficult to see Katie in the media spotlight, often facing negative publicity. However, she believes her daughter would not change a thing, saying: “If you asked her if she’d do it all again, she’d say yes.” Despite her fame, Amy insists Katie is still down to earth and enjoys simple things like visiting garden centers.
Katie always seemed determined to be famous. According to Amy, she once told her, “I don’t need GCSEs because I’m going to be famous anyway.” That confidence has carried her through her career, but her relationship with surgery continues.
Even now, Katie is not ready to stop altering her appearance. In late 2024, she confirmed plans for her third Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in early 2025, adding to her long list of cosmetic procedures, which includes six facelifts and seventeen breast surgeries.
Speaking on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour in March 2024, Katie admitted: “I don’t have surgery to look younger. I don’t know what it is, but I definitely have a relationship with surgery. Maybe it’s about not feeling good enough, being needy, or not feeling very pretty.”
Her journey with cosmetic surgery continues, showing no signs of slowing down.
