King Charles’ funeral plans are ‘dividing the Royal Family’ as tensions rise between William and Camilla

The Royal Family is reportedly experiencing a lot of tension over plans for King Charles’ future funeral and the Crown’s succession. Concerns grew after King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, prompting detailed arrangements for the time after his passing.

Royal commentator Tom Sykes from the Daily Beast says these plans have caused a rift within Buckingham Palace, as some are uneasy about the idea of Prince William becoming king. Sykes suggests that since the King’s diagnosis, power within the family has started shifting toward William.

This shift could impact Prince Harry’s situation as well. According to a royal source, Harry feels he had time to mend his relationship with his father, but he might not have the same opportunity with his brother William. It’s even suggested that if William and Kate had been next in line, Harry might have thought twice before releasing his book, *Spare*.

In April, news surfaced about the palace updating “Operation Menai Bridge,” which covers plans for King Charles’ eventual funeral, amid worries about his health. The idea of Prince William stepping up sooner than expected has reportedly caused significant anxiety within the palace.

The Daily Beast suggests there is increasing concern over William’s future as King William V, with some within the royal household nervous about what his reign might bring, especially given Charles’ current health challenges.

Prince Harry appears to be growing more distanced from the family, with little hope of repairing bonds once William becomes king. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla’s position is also uncertain, as it’s said that Prince William has little warmth for her, which raises questions about her future security and residence.

Rumor has it that King Charles wants Prince Andrew to leave his home at Royal Lodge to make space for Camilla, though Andrew reportedly believes this will be a low priority for William if he becomes king.
